About
Herve Andrieu
A French-American technologist who became one of the world's most prolific Google Maps contributors โ and decided to map the whole country in person.
Herve has been a Google Maps Local Guide since 2016, reaching Level 10, the program's highest level. From his base in Delray Beach, Florida, he now lives out of a van and travels the United States on a nationwide visual mapping tour, photographing and filming the places people search for every day โ shops, trails, viewpoints, restaurants, and small-town landmarks.
By day he works in cloud communications at Proximus Global, where he specialises in virtual phone numbers with deep regulatory and technical knowledge. He writes about telecom numbering and contact-centre technology, and is available as an expert source on Google Maps, electric unicycles, and cloud communications.
He gets around on an electric unicycle โ a Begode Msuper X โ with 20,482 miles logged as of November 2, 2026. It is how he reaches the viewpoints and trailheads a car cannot.
